Epson 3010/3010e compatible 3D glasses (M-3DI standard) – the big list

I decided to write this small article because it was very hard for me to find compatible glasses after I bought my new Epson 3010e 3D projector. Some of the glasses are hard to find in stock, so I’ll also try to keep an eye on where to find them and for the best prices.

A little bit of introduction might be necessary: Epson wisely designed their 2011 projector line to be compatible with the M-3Di standard for Active Shutter Glasses. The current companies actively producing or working toward compatible products are: Panasonic Corporation, XpanD 3D, Hitachi Consumer Electronics Co., Ltd., Changhong Electric Co., Ltd., FUNAI Electric Co., Ltd., Hisense Electric Co., Ltd., Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, Seiko Epson Corporation, SIM2 Multimedia S.p.A., ViewSonic Corporation.

Currently these are the glasses that have been reported to work with the 3010/3010e, 5010, etc Epson projectors, as well as with most of the new projectors and TV sets compatible with M-3Di standard (including all 2011+ Panasonic TVs) Read More…

RAIDMAX Seiran computer case review

RAIDMAX has been on a roll recently launching a plethora of good looking cases on a budget (check our Raidmax Helios Review) and their latest addition, Seiran (MSRP $79.99) is even more ambitious than the other members of the family, at least in terms of specifications. Beside the good looks though, more important is the provided space, ventilation system, motherboard form factors that it can accommodate, overall sturdiness and the degree of finishing, etc. We’ll try to cover all these questions and more in our Raidmax Seiran Review and help you make an informed decision, so read along. Genius Wizard Stick Review – Motion gaming joystick for Gaming PC

Introduction

With the introduction of its innovative motion controller, Nintendo Wii changed forever the way we interact with our games (until the launch of Kinect, that is). It didn’t took that long until accessories producers copied the concept hoping to also copy the success Nintendo had. Probably the most well known PC motion sensor controller is the Genius Wizard Stick manufactured by Genius and based on the AIWI software platform, controller that makes the object of today’s review.

Genius Ring Mouse Review

While we are not used to see completely innovative products coming very often on the market from the Taiwanese company Genius, this time they managed to impress with something never before seen – a wireless mouse small enough to wear on your finger, shaped as a ring that also managed to score an iF design award. Is it a new gimmick? Is it something functional? Is it a must have? I played with the new Genius Ring Mouse (or by its official name – Wireless Thumb Cursor Controller) for a while (or to be more precise until my wife saw it, liked it and stole it from me to use it herself) and my impressions are detailed in this review. Genius LuxeMate T810 Review – Wireless Media Center Keyboard / Remote

Today I’ll review a very interesting product – the LuxeMate T810 Media Cruiser – a wireless Media Center keyboard / remote control manufactured by Genius and designed to stay on your lap and offer all the functions required to control your Media Center based HTPC. To be honest, I searched for a long time for the ideal HTPC controller and before the LuxeMate I used (and still use) my Harmony 880 remote together with Logitech diNovo Mini. While I still use the Harmony remote, the diNovo Mini is just too small for a comfortable use and has some range issues, so I kept looking. I was able to obtain a LuxeMate T810 wireless keyboard which seemed like a good choice for the task at hand (completely control my HTPC in a fast and reliable way) and my experience with it is described in this review. For reference, all my tests were performed using Windows 7. Read More…

ZAGGmate iPad 2 Review – Logitech Keyboard Case by ZAGG for iPad 2

Introduction:

I bought an iPad 2 a couple of weeks ago (technically I bought it more than a month ago but it took Apple almost a month to ship it!). I commute daily by train and, since iPad 2 doesn’t have a keyboard, I wasn’t able to do to much work on it so it did not replace my notebook. (By the way, if you think you can use iPad 2 – and any other tablet for that matter for serious work using only the on-screen keyboard, you are either wrong or much luckier than I am). I don’t want to carry more than one device with me so I start looking around to see what external Bluetooth keyboards are available. One of the options was the ZAGGmate for iPad 2 with Bluetooth, this time manufactured by Logitech. Not cheap at $99 but by now you should be used with the price of iPad accessories, and also the of any accessory manufactured by Logitech. Having used Logitech before, including my beloved Harmony universal remote, I decided to go ahead and see how it works.
