Todays’s deal of the day consists in the cheapest 1080p digital camera I have seen (while being a decent quality at the same time) from Amazon for $99 shipped and no taxes in most states. The camera is a HP V5061u 1080p flash memory based, features a 5MB CMOS sensor, a 3 inches LCD touchscreen with 960 x 240 resolution that can rotate to 270 degrees so you can take your self portrait (this is a nice touch and usually reserved for more expensive equipment), stereo microphone and a weight of only 9.2 Ounces.

Another interesting feature – a DUAL SD card slot for more memory on the road. The output is HDMI so you won’t need any fancy converters and comes with rechargeable batteries but you can use a couple of AA batteries when the main ones run out of juice, again an interesting and quite useful capability.

Amazing how low the HD camcorder prices can go. Just weeks ago I purchased a new Sanyo HD camcorder for $300 and I thought I got an excellent deal and now, Amazon has this Panasonic HDCTM15 16GB Full HD Camcorder for $212 shipped. Good reviews across the board, not the fanciest in the line but certainly worth it considering the amount of included memory was more expensive than $200 a while ago.

Deal of the Day – Sanyo VPC-FH1A Full HD Video and 8 MP Digital Photos at $279

Big drop in price: Amazon has an amazing deal for the Sanyo VPC-FH1A High Definition Camcorder, also capable of taking 8MP still pictures for a very low price of $279 no taxes and free shipping in most of the country. The Transcend 16GB seems also a good deal at $36.05. mostly excellent reviews with many praises for low light capability. I bought it myself when it was $329, expect a review to follow shortly. A great feature of this camera is the ability to transfer videos directly to an external hard-drive via USB, really convenient when you don’t want to carry your notebook. Manual (PDF) here.
