If you just received your brand new Kindle Fire and you are coming from a full featured Android phone, you’ll probably miss a number of features including the ability to side load apps on it. Wait no more, there is a very simple way to go around it!
Fortunately for us, Amazon didn’t go out of their way to make sideloading terribly difficult, it only takes 5 minutes to have everything in place and enable sideloading on your brand new Kindle Fire if you follow this quick tutorial.
Note: After you enable sideloading, you can proceed with Android Market install tutorial
Step 1: Navigate to Settings->More->Device->Allow Installation of Applications and set it to ON
Step 2: Go to Amazon App Store and download ES File Explorer. It is absolutely free.
Step 3: Connect your Kindle Fire to your computer via USB and copy any apk files you want somewhere on the device. My usual place is under downloads folder
Step 4: Run ES File Explorer and install whatever files you want
Step 5: Enjoy! You can also proceed to install Google Android Market on your Kindle Fire following our tutorial.
