How to fix Failure To Sync – 0xE800002D error – The app * was not installed on the iPad because an unknown error occurred

New iPad, new issues. Just a couple of days after I got my brand new iPad 2, problems started. I purchased several new games via iTunes (Luxor HD, Epic War TD, Puzzle Quest 2, etc) and when I tried to sync them via iTunes / USB cables, for each and every app downloaded today I got the following error message – Failure To Sync – 0xE800002D error – The app * was not installed on the iPad because an unknown error occurred.

Obviously annoyed, I looked online bust most of the posts are just describing the problem without offering an actual solution. I restarted iTunes several times without any effect, unplugged / plugged the USB cable, nothing. At some point, I got an idea. What if I follow blindly the standard crappy advice from every customer service representative around the world? Turn the device off and on again. What do you know? It worked!

So basically, if you ever get the following error: Failure To Sync – 0xE800002D – The app * was not installed on the iPad because an unknown error occurred, just turn completely off your iPhone / iPad (top right button), turn it on again, let it reboot and the sync should proceed with no issues. That simple. Somewhat hard to figure it out just because people tend to not realize their iPhone / iPad / iPod is a computer that needs the good old reboot once in a while (yes, even the ones made by Apple 😉 ).

  • Already done (the iphone rebooting), but still doesn’t work…

Still the same..shame.. is not working also after reboot… both on iPhone and iPad 🙁
