Although announced since forever, we never doubted that at some point Notion Ink’s tablet, Adam will come into our hands and, the moment is here, or more precisely will be here tomorrow, December 9th 2010, just in time for the holidays. Notion Ink Adam is a 14 mm thin tablet based on the Google’s Android OS, a dual core Cortex A-9 CPU and NVIDIA Tegra 250 GPU, 1GB Ram, 8GB storage and microSD slot and a multi-touch 10.1 inches LCD with a resolution of 1024 x 600. Pixel Qi display is optional as well. In terms of connectivity, the mandatory WiFi-N, Bluetooth and 3G and a nice 3.2MB auto-focus swivel camera. 3D Axis Accelerometer, GPS and compass are part of the formula as well. All in all, a very capable tablet to be had for a price between $399 for the WiFI only version, $449 for the 3G version and a hundred more to each version if you prefer the Pixel Qi version. We just hope we’ll have a unit for review as soon as possible.
Who doesn’t love Netflix? For a mere $7.99 a month, you get access to tens of thousands of movies, TV Shows, documentaries, kids stuff, etc, up to 6 devices. (I have more than those and I want the limit expanded, but that’s another story). Today story is about continuous improvement and this is what Netflix does, signing yet another deal with ABC-Disney for even more content. This time, Netflix gets the full lineup for shows like Scrubs, Ugly Betty, Reaper, High School Musical, Camp Rock, Greek, Phineas and Ferb, Good Luck Charlie, etc although the new episodes come with a 15 days delay. If you have a DVR and you don’t care about watching the shows in direct, you probably won’t care that much anyway.
The Disney additions will certainly make your kids happy, especially if your DVR hard-drive is overflowing with their records.
