Amazon Black Friday deal – Kindle 2 for only $89

For those that just want a cheap eReader and don’t care too much to have the latest generation, Amazon dug deep in their warehouses and found some leftover Kindle 2nd generation (with free 3G and all), for the incredible price of $89. This model has exactly the same eInk screen as the current Nook but also 3G internet access.

This will obviously be a door buster deal and  limited while the supplies last. The deal will be live at 9AM Pacific Time this Friday and featured under Amazon Lightning Deals category. Don’t forget to bookmark and check at 9:00AM sharp!

    I couldn’t find any such deal listed on Amazon lightning deals..

    for 9 am PST it lists: “Upcoming Deal
    Simplify digital photography from shoot to finish.”

    Please don’t put such unverified news. 🙁

    Stupid Engadget just cited you as source and listed on its site as well.
    And I was getting so happy about it. 🙁

    That’s funny Ginnie. I found it on there no problem at all. Has the picture of the Kindle and is at 3 hours and 30 minutes and counting.

    hey Dood, just click on the “Amazon lighting deals” in the post and then select the category “Kindle store” or something like that. The deal is coming in about 40 minutes now at 9:00am PST

    What a joke the SECOND it went live I clicked. All it gave me was “Checking on deal status”. So I opened up a new tab to check on it, within 30 seconds. In the second tab it had all sold out.

    Same here, clicked add to cart the instant it went live…then went into “checking deal status”. Then all the sudden it started counting down “time until deal starts” all over again for several seconds. Needless to say no luck for me.

    i clicked instantly.. then it was “checking deal status”.. then came “join waitlist” 🙁
    no luck.. I wonder why it doesn’t show.. “% claimed” / “sold-out” like other deals.
