iOS 4.2 might finally solve iPhone 3G speed issues

If you still have a 3G iPhone and you upgraded it to the latest and greatest iOS, you might have experienced speed issues, especially in iOS 4.0, iOS 4.01 and iOS 4.02 versions. Then, along came iOS 4.1 and sped things up a bit, although based on many user experiences, an iPhone 3G with iOS 4.x is still not as fast as when it ran a 3.x iOS.

Fortunately, according to TIPb, iOS will improve things yet again. While the ancient 3G devices (ancient considering they are already two generations behind the current one) won’t have a chance to match the current 4G devices, the new optimized software should certainly help. Take a look at the video they made and see how it works, before installing iOS 4.2 when it will be officially out.

How are you using your 3G? Still as a phone? As a media player / Internet browser and gaming device around the house? Did you finally jailbreak it?
